Character name: Soren

Brief biography: Soren’s parents were not around, but he was raised by a woman because of her own obligation to care for him. At about the age of four, this woman literally sold Soren off to an old sage who saw promise in the young boy because the sage believed he was a Spirit Charmer, when in reality, Soren was Branded (Spirit charmers are individuals who literally allows spirits to overtake their body and soul to make them more adept at magic, but at the cost of the spirit consuming their soul. A Branded individual is one who has both laguz and beorc blood in them. A laguz is an individual who can shift into animals to fight, while beorc resemble humans. The two races are not supposed to breed together, so a Branded individual is usually seen as a social pariah). The sage taught Soren what he knew about magic, but died only a couple of years later, leaving Soren to wander the woods at the young age of six. He was shooed away by beorc and laguz alike, causing Soren to grow a large animosity and distrust of anyone. At the brink of death, Soren was discovered by Ike, who offered him some food and promised the same the following day, but never returned. Soren had discovered that Ike’s father, who had gone into a berserk state of mind, murdered most of the individuals in Ike’s village. After not finding Ike’s body, however, Soren figured Ike had been spared and, from that point on, went to search for Ike throughout Crimea. It was several years before Soren would locate Ike, and in those years, he would spend time studying in a church. Again, those who worked at the church believed he was a Spirit Charmer, and taught/treated him as such instead of a Branded.

1.) Healing: Soren has the ability to heal individuals with the help of a staff. This healing ability CANNOT be used without a staff.

2.) Magic: Soren’s main form of attack is using magic; however, without a tome, this skill is null and void.

Quick RP sample: The young man blinked incredulously at the screen before him. Despite his high intelligence, his brain groped for some sort of comprehension in the strange situation he had been embroiled into.

There was no room for expostulation, for he was quick to be circumspect in his observations and realize protest would do him no good. As the video had instructed, he had taken his first steps into the strange world before him. Soren’s bright red eyes grew large at the scene before him, a world he was incredibly unfamiliar with. Quite the contrary to his usual setting of tiny, almost misplaced buildings, abundant with lavish forests… The young man was already silent, but this discovery placed him in a state of paralyzing awe.

However, despite the mystical feel of the city, his frustrations were still somehow controlled inside him. He was not used to being the pawn in any situation; rather, he was used to having things the other way around, being the tactician of an army and all.

And with that, Soren released a deep, brooding sigh. An unfamiliar location, one of which he was sure contained no one he was, in the slightest, familiar with. His pessimist mind brought to the surface the worst situations, but at the same moment, his realistic tendencies made Soren aware of his ability to adapt.

‘I shall find a path home,’ he secretly promised himself. He had been through the worst of the worst; murderous wars, the worst of the cold and the heat, the rejection of nearly every individual he had met throughout his life. He had fought the goddess herself. Nothing in particular had stated an inability to return to a ‘home’ universe; with this consideration, along with his stubborn nature, Soren was completely determined to return to Crimea.
